Ex-offender services

Minnesota

Criminal Expungement - Important information on how to expunge (seal) criminal court records in Minnesota. Find forms and instructions, online videos explaining how to fill out the forms, tips for going to court, and links to other self-help resources.
Criminal Offenders, Rehabilitation Chapter 364. When reviewing sections of this statute, such as “Relation of conviction to employment or occupation” it is important to also look at the “Exceptions” section. Minnesota statutes are continuously updated by the Office of the Revisor of Statutes.
Human Services Background Studies Chapter 245C. This Minnesota statute contains several sections of interest such as: Disqualifying crimes or conduct, Bars to setting aside a disqualification; Adoption and child foster care, and Variance for a disqualified individual.
Minnesota Federal Bonding Service provides individual Fidelity Bonds to employers for employees who may be denied coverage by commercial carriers. This no-cost employee dishonesty insurance protects employers against employee theft of any money or property.

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) supports states and communities in their efforts to develop and implement effective and coordinated prevention and intervention programs and to improve the juvenile justice system so that it protects public safety, holds offenders accountable, and provides treatment and rehabilitative services tailored to the needs of juveniles and their families.
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a federal tax credit designed as an incentive to employers to hire individuals in certain targeted groups which consistently experience high rates of unemployment due to a variety of employment barriers.
